Pre-Teach: No
Focus: External
Purpose: Get creative with simple structured moves.
First Move: Cross and Out OTS
Take a deep breath, get grounded, feel that beat in your body.
Cross and out, cross and out, let the whole body rock with it.
Lean back a little if you want, but don’t get stuck there, keep it alive.
Imagine you’re splatter painting the entire room, boom, boom, off your fingertips.
Can you relax those fingers and shoot that paint out?
Let your feet come up, change your levels, maybe turn to a new wall.
Stay mostly on the spot but travel a teeny bit if it feels good.
Put that rocky beat in your arms, in your chest, even in your face.
Nobody gets bored here, we’ve got options galore.
Dance it your way, show me your cool, soulful style.
Second Move: Step Tap Out
New move, step tap out, step, tap out, keep it funky and low.
Tap a little farther away from your body, maybe even cross that tap.
Keep a little bounce in there, don’t lose that upper body.
Put that beat in your shoulders, in your chest, let the arms really dance.
Can you tap toward each other and still stay grounded?
Try it lower, try it higher, play with singles and maybe even doubles.
You could exaggerate the arms in a way you don’t usually do.
Stay cool, stay soulful, make it yours, you can’t get it wrong.
Third Move: Cross and Step Combo
Get ready, we’re gonna put them together.
Cross and out, cross and out, build it up with power.
Now add that step tap out with it, step out and cross at the same time.
Not yet, feel it first, then try it together.
Arms only for a moment, how’s it going?
Have you tried doubles with the cross before you step?
Put it all together, funk it out, stay mostly on the spot.
Keep those arms crossing out strong, keep that bounce underneath.
This is good for the brain, good for the body, stay with it.
No one can do it for you, add your personality and own it.
